Hang Seng A/C Opening Guide

For Foreign-invested Enterprises Registered in the Mainland

1.Approval Certificate issued by government bodies authorised by the State Council, ie, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation or the relevant provincial or municipal peoples government.
 
2.Legal Person Business License issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
 
3.Joint Venture Contract/Agreement and the relevant documents. (Applicable only when the foreign-invested enterprise is a joint venture company).
 
4.Articles of Association and Amending Resolutions (if any).
 
5.Valid Foreign-invested Enterprise Foreign Currency Account Opening Approval Documents and Foreign Exchange Registration Certificate issued by the State Administration for Foreign Exchange.
 
6.Minutes of Board of Directors Meeting to open bank account.
 
7.Identification documents of the legal representative, directors and authorised personnel.
 
8.Certificate of Legal Personal Code issued by the State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.
 
9.Other relevant documents as deemed necessary by our Mainland Branches.

 
For Representative Offices of Foreign Companies in Mainland 
 
1.Approval Certificate issued by the government bodies authorized by the State Council, ie, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation or the relevant provincial or municipal People's government.
 
2.Registration Certificate of Foreign Enterprise Permanent Office in China issued by the State Administration for Industry & Commerce.
 
3.The Letter issued by the foreign company setting out the authority delegated to the Mainland Representative.
 
4.Working Card issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
 
5.Identification documents of the Mainland Representative.

 
6.Minutes of Board of Directors' Meeting of the foreign company to open bank account for the Mainland Representative Office.
 
7.Business Registration of the foreign company.

8.Certificate of Incorporation of the foreign company.

9.Account Opening Approval Document issued by SAFE.
Foreign Currency Account Registration Certificate issued by SAFE.

 
11.Other relevant documents as deemed necessary by our Mainland Branches.

For Local Enterprises 
 
1.For local companies and enterprises, Enterprise Legal Person Business Licence issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce to local enterprises
 
2.For non-state owned enterprises or organisations, Registration Certificate issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs

3.For business units, Business Unit Certificate issued by the respective administration and management authorities to the state-owned business units

4.For state-owned bodies, Approval Certificate issued by the governing and management authorities

5.For non-bank financial institutions, Xukezheng issued by the People's Bank of China and the Business Licence issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, if any

6.Minutes of Board of Directors meeting to open bank account, list of directors, identification document of directors and authorized officials, identification documents of the person authorised account, articles of association and amending resolution.

7.For organisation without a Board of Directors, identification document of the legal representative and the person authorised account.

8.Foreign Currency Account Opening Notice and Foreign Exchange Approval Certificate issued by SAFE for settlement account and capital account respectively

9.Foreign Exchange Administration Card

10.Foreign Exchange Limit application submitted for settlement account

11.Other relevant documents as deemed necessary by our branches
